Frostbit comb amd wattles - comb in "weird" place

My Buff Orpington rooster also has bad frostbite, we had 9 degrees, this happen a couple of weeks ago. Since he was not getting better, and seemed to be "under the weather", we brought him in, cage rested him for a week, and put vaseline on his comb. It is healing, but is severely damaged, over 50%. The problem is, he seems like he's brain damaged or something. The other rooster, who is much smaller and used be no problem to him, chases him and beats up on him, and he won't defend himself, just hides in the corner. We had to separate them. He walks around and forages normally, but looks lost and does not hang out with his girls. I see some of the posts talk about roosters 10 years old that get frostbite every year, and are fine, but is it possible mine is brain damaged from a frozen comb? This is his first winter....(it does not look infected, and there is new skin growing underneath the black part)

i did not mean to hijack the thread. I have seen the black spot on the center of a Rooster comb in Texas and it was not frostbite but went away after a few weeks. I do not know how any bird survives in winter.... snow ..... those poor babies.. but I guess they learn how. Good luck with Tank.... he is pretty
