It got into the low 20's last night so I was wondering if it is alright to eat thawed out frozen eggs? Help!

They are edible. The yolks will no longer be runny but look like yellow ping pong balls.

Be aware that frozen eggs will sometimes crack. I've lost a large number of eggs in the bark to being frozen and splitting down the sides. However, the dogs love to eat these frozen eggs.

I've never tried cooking a frozen egg before, but I don't think they would cook any differently because people have frozen raw scrambled eggs and used them for cooking without any problem.

I hope this helps.

How do I know if an egg froze if it doesn't crack? It's been really cold here but haven't had any crack. Getting down to 7 degrees tonight.

If they spend more than a couple hours at 7, they're frozen.

They still cook and eat but the yolk will be a soft yet solid ball because of the ice crystals.

Ok thank you! Wasn't sure because so many lay their egg is the same box that was hoping the chickens being off and on them all day would keep them from freezing. Sometimes I get a dozen eggs from the 1 nesting box!!!
