Frozen Ginney hen feet

I have several toeless or foot/feet less birds..

I just ignore them and the feet/toes either get better or they fall off..

I do not expect others to do what I do..I point it out simply to show it is not always life ending...most the time it is just toe ending...

This is Hobbles..(guess how he got the name)View attachment 1707206View attachment 1707207 he has two stubs and gets around just fine.. he even roosts with the girls at night.

Is that a raccoon in the last pic ?
 
Welcome to BYC. Can you post pictures of both sides of the feet? How long ago did it occur? It can take a week or two to determine the extent of the frostbite damage. The main thing is to not rub or massage the frostbitten skin, or break any blisters. Vetericyn or Betadine are good to use on frostbitten skin. If it is severe, bring the bird inside to warm up.
