After reading a few of the posts concerning the consumption and palatability of froze n HB eggs it occurred to me that in the event of survival it would not harm us to eat them if they were slowly thawed in cool water. They may even save our lives, so that being said I will not fail to freeze a few dozen in the prescribed method shown here:

1.) Boil the eggs and wait for them to cool down.
2.) Remove them from their shells.
3.) Put them in ice trays in the freezer.
4.) Replace them in air tight freezer bags for storage.
5.) Before consuming the eggs thaw them in cool water until unfrozen.

'in the event of survival'....will you have power to keep the freezer running?

I wondered the same thing, but am much more interested in finding out how they taste.....
I would think the yolk texture would be awful.......scrambling the egg before freezing, then cooking after thawed would be much better.
