I havnt got any chickens of my own at the moment but know a couple of people who do and the kids and I were taking our garden pests over for the hens when we got eggs but just now there are too many to keep alive and healthy for the girls. So I have taken to popping them into a can in the freezer, things like 30 fresh boiled June beetles and grubs and tomato horn worms
I must admit, the lure of poisons is strong this time of year lol
What I want to know is, do we need to thaw the block of goodies to give to the girls or can we just throw the frozen hunk-a-bugs to the flock and let em pick it to bits?
