Frozen treats

Another potential recipe for using specifically their feed is to add some water to a cup of feed and let it get soggy. Some chickens prefer this wet feed and this technically also makes it easier to digest and they are able to absorb more of the nutrients.

But to your question of freezing their feed, I expect no issues to come from this. Might even be a nice way to cool them off slightly in the hot summer days.

I mix their crumbles with whey (left over from making kefir) or yoghurt/kefir when I have a surplus and then freeze it in pots.
It works well as an ice-cream treat because the yoghurt/kefir/whey means it freezes with a texture like ice-cream and they can easily peck pieces off the block and eat it while it is still frozen.

Sometimes I put some kitchen scraps in the pot as well but that isn't necessary.

That's a good idea its just im not allowed to use things that aren't for the chickens wich is part of the reason I made this thread
