Mr Rooster has had his last chance. If he comes after me again he's going to freezer camp. He's related to at least some of the pullets so I really don't need him to move forward with future breeding.

Have you tried chasing him with a fishing net, yet?

Nope and I'm not doing that. I never had to do a thing with Fugly, he was just a chill dude. I really think it would be the best move anyway. He's related to at least half the pullets. I'm also betting that 2 out of the 3 two week olds are little boys. That one in the first pic I posted could be of interest.

Fugly was like his daddy. Charley never gave me any problem's even once.

He was a really awesome rooster. I honestly couldn't believe you got rid of Charley.

I wanted to keep a few of his daughter's for myself for future breeding, so I needed an unrelated NN rooster. I just hope this one end's up as nice as Charley is. This one does have a bowtie instead of a bib, and you know that I was trying to hatch one like that before but you got my lucky egg with Fugly. :gig

So, im not an idiot, and i understand that it is unwise to breed "relatives" but could someone explain what a relative is in the chicken family, and also, what would happen if i i did breed relatives?
You can breed father to daughter and mother to son ok but not brother to sister.

Example in case is my rooster shares the same father as the pullets so I need a different rooster unrelated or vice versa.

I think uncle to niece and such is ok but don't quote me.

Ok, I wont thanks for the help. I have another question though, I have a Cornish X roo that is about 4 months old now, and I dont expect him to live long, but i am trying to see if i can breed him. Has anyone else ever tried this? I have had 2 meat birds make it to just over a year old before, and i never saw them breed, and she never laid any eggs, mind you this girl and guy were the biggest 2 birds ive ever seen lol. But has anyone ever tried to breed cornish x?

Honestly, I would pose your question in the meat bird forum. There are people who limit feed for these birds and have kept them alive longer than expected. You'll get lots of help in there!
