Fugly Farm

Ok, I'll stop asking you for any of your extra's. I just thought that I might be able to continue with what his goal was with those.
I am keeping the little roo from you and 3 of the meat bird pullets though. That rooster is bigger and heavier than the one from CompostKing. I'm not saying never, but I'd rather see if I continue with health issues or not first.

I know it's usually Throwback Thursday, but I came across these pics of the pups today

Todays projects are to put a roost in the mini coop for the little guy I'm adding and the pullets, they'll start roosting there tonight. Then scrub the coops, take the pups to the park while they dry, then sanitize, run to the grocery store while that dries, then get the nest boxes put back and get the litter on the floors. Will need to do something about the front of the mini coop to block drafts through the front too.

Shade house is back in the big yard, attached a feeder to it to prevent arguments over the others.

Big coop has been washed, had to put the nest box back because someone was looking for it and was quite unhappy it was gone

Mini coop has a roost and has been washed. Since everything is experimental right now this is temporary. If it works out keeping 2 roos we'll add some side beams inside and put a more permanent roost in. Not great pics due to sun angle.

The new coop next door is done being built now. She used an old double sink for a nesting box for the hen's, and they seem to accept it. They laid egg's in it yesterday. She's going to be revamping the older coop to make that one better too. I'm clearing out the weed's to make room to start building my second coop over here.

That's a pretty cool nest box idea! Where are you going to put your second coop?
