Today was my first crack at "social distancing," I failed badly. I went up to the counter at the pharmacy to pick up my prescription. I got reprimanded for NOT being 6 feet away. I asked how could I pay for it from 6 feet away. We exchanged dirty looks. Thank goodness the pills were a 90 day supply. So I don't have to come back often.
 
Also failed at the grocery store. Standard procedure was the person ahead would put their groceries on the conveyor belt and then put a divider stick at the end. That was the "signal" that the next shopper could start unloading their groceries behind the stick.

Before I could do that I got hollered at by the checker who told me to move 6 feet back. I saw there were 3 signs on the floor each saying "stop here." I guess I was supposed to stand at the last of the "stop here" signs. Who knew? They didn't have any signs the last time I shopped there.

Btw I only needed one of the small grocery carts (I planned to buy the 3 cans of peas I had to pass up last time because I didn't have enough cash on hand!) A woman told me to put the cart back, she had a cart for me (a full sized one) and wiped the handle before letting me take it.

I felt like "huffing and puffing," and exhaling OLD person breath in her face.

I can understand the reasons for the new procedures but, I was probably shopping long before the checkers, etc were born. Old habits die hard!.
 
To complete my day, I wanted to withdraw some $$$ from my bank account. Of course bank was closed (Sunday). My brother said I could use the ATM machine. I've never seen one at my bank. He said it's usually between the two sets of doors, with the first door open so customers could access it. Well my bank didn't have any ATM machines that we could see. At least no one was there to holler at me.

I got a little bit feisty and felt like the next person to annoy me would get bitten. My brother said he's not taking me shopping anymore. Yah well he needs me. He had to enter his phone number(for some stupid deal at the store) and he couldn't remember the first few digits. I HAD to enter them for him.

OKAY rant over you can come out of hiding. I'll be good!

Aren't Showgirls Nn X silkies of one sort or another? I thought so but maybe not.

These are all just Nn barnyard mixes, but I do love them!

DD I have to agree that habits are hard to break! Usually if you're not practically on top of the person in front of you people cut into the line. Then exclaim their apologies.
