Was it all Internet or just gmail and BYC?

It's a combination of all of the older wiring out here and with so many at home now having to work or study and such. Every time we get a bad monsoon with thunder and lightening it can go out for day's. Even water can get into their boxes if they get flooded. Then we have to go for day's without being able to get online. They don't want to spend money on making it better out here.

You're a paying customer and it's not like that area isn't growing! Jerks.
 
That's Century Link for you. They know that they have us, because there's no one else out here. It's either use them or go without.
I've heard that about a lot of stuff out there. What about Dish? Aren't they offering satellite service out there? At least once the worst of the storm clears your service comes back.

We do have satellite with our tv. through them. I don't know why Comet TV goes out (freezes) at night. It kept messing up my Babylon5 when they were doing those. Now with the new setup it will be Battlestar Galactica, more than likely.
