Up to 3 eggs per day reliably.
Nice eggs IM!
I'm thinking about taking my meat bird breeding in a bit of a different direction. Instead of using the Cemani cockerel, I'm going to use a Dampierre cockerel. I was just gifted 2 of them, and they are considerably larger than my AC fella. I'd say 1.5x in size and close to 2x in weight and 1.5 months younger than the AC .
The pictures don't show their size very well, but I'd guess them to be 8-9lbs at 4.5 months old.

I'm still going to use the NN and Dorking for the hens. So far the NN pullets have been great. I love their personalities. The young Dork is a sweetheart too! Besides being nice, she's filling in to be rather meaty at her age.

The local fed store is supposed to get more Dorks this Friday. If they do, I'm grabbing 2-3 more while I can. Not getting screwed out of them again.
The female Dampierre actually have a crest, I've been day dreaming of what a cross with a NN would be.
Thank IM!Beautiful boys Trim! They have nice large breasts and wow they're big. I can see why you would go this direction.
What do you feed your meat birds?
