You're yard is looking fantastic and the chicks are adorable! I hope the rest of your eggs make it!

I saw on the news that the heat waves we've had this summer are going to be more common. I think a few more years here until hubs can retire and I'm done with AZ. Or at least done with the valley.
I hope the chicks get along with your flock!I don't think that it's possible to find a place to live where it will stay in the 70's for the daytime temp all year round, and I don't want to be shoveling snow from my driveway for sure.
The 7 SGD's are growing, but I haven't turned them loose yet with the main flock.

I know that it's only a dream that I have had for years about living where it is 70's-F. all year long, but I would love it if there was a place like that.
Yesterday turned out to be 114* here and I could tell. I was asleep just as dinner was ready and woke up with a migraine. Today I had ice blocks out by noon and Cuckoo and the chicks were taking turns standing on the one in the coop. When I went out they were all in the coop yard and I've seen the AC chicks out on the patio looking at the rest of the yard. Makes me happy the little ones are trusting Cuckoo and following her more readily. My son was here today and shared pics of his pigs and dogs. He calls the male pig Big Belly lol. I miss having a pig. No work on the wood chips today, it's too hot and I didn't officially get out of bed until 1000. I've done pretty much nothing and I think that's what the day will be, a relax day. I feel guilty the pups didn't get to go to the park, but it was already hot at 0530 and I couldn't do it. I don't know how Igor can do it and completely understand his grumpy attitude when he first gets home.

Uh huh and snow September too! Blech. BTW does Casper get less snow than your current location?Good job on moving the chips around IM! That's a lot of work but you've made great progress!
That's my dream too...70's all the time! If you find that place, will you let me know?
Sorry about the migraine IM, those stink. If you and Igor get tired of the heat, Wyoming has lots of room![]()

I ordered 2 of the BYC mugs today. Can't wait for those to get here. We'll probably use them for soup in winter but I think they're neat. Added on a tshirt too.
I marine being in town you might get snow plows more often as wellI have some mugs coming too, can't wait! (Like I don't already have a boat load of mugs)
Casper's weather seems to run a bit warmer than where we are now. Guess that's good in the winter and not so good in the summer.Where we are now, the elevation is a little higher so guess that accounts for some of it.
