You mentioned he’d been working on a coop there. Will you get to take the girls with you? I hope you get to move before winter really sets in!Yes, he just left for Casper about 20 minutes ago. This time he'll be up there for several days so hopefully he can get some work wrapped up. He said he hopes to have it ready enough for me to move up there by the end of the month. Time will tell!
Our weather is due to take a turn tomorrow. Today we're in the mid-70's but tomorrow it's supposed to rain and not get out of the 50's with overnight lows in the low 40's. So cool (and cold) weather is on it's way.

A housing upgrade is always nice! Then again it’s at YOUR house so you can do what you want. I know moving can be hard on the pets but they’ll have you and that’s the most important thing. Do they keep you warm at night?Yep, I'll take the 5 girls and my 3 house cats (not in the same trip). The chickens are in for a real upgrade from their current coop...this will be about twice as large and much more protected from the weather & wind. They won't know what hit them.
The cats will just be freaked out, at least for a while. This is the only house the 3 of them can remember.

That sounds about right lol. I had a cat named Seuss that would attack my feet if I got restless. I can’t tell you how many times he flew across the bed, maybe the room once or twice. He wasn’t dignified enough to just look annoyed. You're talking about the cats and not the chickens, right?
Opie is my foot warmer. Unless I get restless and then he flops on the floor and sleeps right by the bed. He gets really annoyed looking when I bother his rest.![]()
