Hope is here because her school was flooded by a waterline break so my plans for today changed. I decided to can some beef stew meat and some butternut squash soup since I don’t have to make dinner tonight. Daughter and I were discussing canning a few quarts of roasted tomato soup as well. That will be a good project for the weekend when Cam is laid up.

All those canned goods you're putting up now will be so handy later. Have fun with Hope!

I hope they get that repaired quickly!
Your projects sound great.

IM,,, the Hand Fasting you did,,,,, would have been Beautiful, in the Grand Canyon area also.❤️
It sure would have! Although where we went in Sedona was far more handicapped accessible for Igor and beautiful as well. Less crowded too, more our kind of place I think.

Yeah, cleaning out the freezers is a blast. Not :gig Although I am having fun canning stuff. The kids make such a mess in the freezers that things get buried and forgotten or can’t be found. I’m trying canning instead of cooking and refreezing. Less mess in the freezer :)

It’s only 1030 but this has already been a busy day. Did a few indoor chores, then went outside with some scratch and peas. Henna and Attila were in the nests so everyone else had a relaxing snack. Including some pigeons 🙄

I watered even though we have a 60% chance of rain tomorrow; storms split and go around us so I don’t believe it. If we don’t get rain I’ll go ahead and fertilize. I see evidence of birds in the garden but not sure that’s all that has visited. Think I’ll plant Armenian cukes again to be safe, and going to plant some corn with the spinach and see how that goes, plus cover the beds to keep birds out until the plants are too big to pull. Rotten birds! I don’t know how long the spinach will last, we’re supposed to hit 80 by this time next week.
