I watered today because the soil was a bit dry and I need to fertilize tomorrow morning. There’s a sunchoke sprout, more onions, and more corn. So happy with the garden thus far.

Oregano, parsley and zucchini. I’m going to replant Roselle in there tomorrow and put on a row cover

The two small Arabian lilacs are recovering well

Those are fake. I was trying to encourage the ducks to lay in one place. As you can see it hasn’t worked.

No they’re not.
They lay eggs there all the time, but there’s no cover after I trimmed it so they don’t like that spot now

I filled one of the feeders on Thursday about a third full. Friday morning it was empty. If I use the bigger ports I’m not sure the ducks can get to it and the sparrows raid it all the time. If I use the small ports the ducks can get to it but so can the pigeons. It takes a lot of effort then, they have to constantly flap their wings, but they do it. This morning I stood guard outside the shade garden while everyone ate and I was literally slapping pigeon wings with a stick to keep them at bay. Guess I’ll get the feeders out of there so there’s enough room to close everyone in for a bit. I am not going to literally beat pigeons off with a stick

Looks like you did the top with a whole egg wash. (yolk, and white)
I can taste it....
