Full Mottle(d) Jacket.. - my journey to a colorful coop...

My latest batch of black/blue (mottled) chicks, they will rejoin the splash and the new hens in black and chocolate. When I'm sure of everyone sex, I'll decide which rooster is best for those colors.

Millefleur Update WEEK 3
The littles MFs spent some time outside in the grass the last days and are progressing quite good. I'm sure having at least one cockerel. (MF02), to put it nicely, you cannot not see it But either way, one MF rooster for the flock is needed.
Number 5 has still a wing hanging a bit limp and developing slower than the others.
My favorite in posture is MF03.

So cute! #MFO4 is my favorite because he/she is so tiny and cute! With that little tail and big eyes! The rest are also super cute!

Monochrome Update - Week 1

The tiny Black&Blues a still very tiny. I read you can easily put 1 week chicks withe the older (4week) chicks...but they are way to small against the armada of active MFs. I keep them apart, but the older ones are going to move into the chicken coop soon, when the announced summer temperatures arrive.
Tiny Bl01 is a very dark slate gray or black mottled, I'm not sure, but he has ONE white feather.

The millefleurs have moved to the outdoor chicken coop, a bed of hay, a little rabbit hut to huddle under and sommer temperatures invite to sunbathing.
I let them discover the coop when the adults are outside, but for the night they are safely apart. Maybe next week they might found the curage to get outside...into the wild!!
