Fully feathered?

This may be a dumb question, but—everything I can find says the ducks can move outside permanently when they’re fully feathered. Do these girls look fully feathered? There is still a little fuzz around their necks. Also, do they need to be acclimated to being outside at night? Lows here are in the 40s/low 50s. Thanks!

Yes, those ducks are fully feathered, and will be well adept sleeping in those kinds of temperatures you mentioned above. I do not think acclimation will be necessary.

Mine were moved to a 4'x6' brooder in the coop at 2.5 weeks in late April. They stopped sitting anywhere near the heatlamp before 4 weeks.

I think you can move them out with confidence that they will be fine.

Mine were 3 weeks old yesterday and nowhere near feathered, in fact, they are just starting to get them. They spent their first night outside in their new big pen and were fine.
