Fun Fact of the Day:___!

"The human head weighs 8 pounds" ~ Little cute kid in Jerry Maguire.

When we exercise, and lose weight, we lose it in the reverse order our bodies store it. This happens irrelevant to the activity taking place, no matter what gizmo the infomercials try to sell you.

Kangaroos cant hop backwards, but hummingbirds can fly any direction including upside down and backwards

Neither can Emu's.

That is why the Kangaroo and the Emu are on the Australian coat of arms, it shows that Australia never goes back wards, only forwards!!!

zomg that is so cool. I never knew that.

(I thought it was just because kangaroos and emus are characteristic of Australia, and back in the day they wanted to separate themselves from Britain and have an actual identity. :p)

Interesting theory though. Wonder how much it's going to hold with Tony Abbott in power now...

I know. A fact I learnt in like year 5.lol.

I really don't follow politics, pointless to me. As long as they don't start taxing chickens I don't care.lol.
Although I have yet to own my own house etc so my thoughts on how crap the government is and probably always will be may change.

I suppose they don't teach year 5s that kind of stuff in England

I think politics is interesting. I never used to, but nowadays I feel like getting involved, despite my terrifying conversational skills.

This whole democracy thing - at least here - gets to be a drain on resources. What do you reckon? Not saying it's a bad thing (well it might be, depending on what way you look at it :p) but there's a lot of money, man hours and materials put into campaigning and no matter who gets elected, all the populace does is complain about them.

And then the policies of whoever was in power last get reversed, erasing x years of country having a direction.

Maybe it's not the best strategy for getting things done.

I used to live there when I was really young. Miss it a lot and prefer it in most aspects to Australia.

I just see politics as pointless. Even though 'we as a people' should be able to change the way we live and are governed it really doesn't seem to be working....I think.lol.
x2 agree, SO MUCH WASTED TIME AND MONEY on what I see as just crap.lol!!!

Yes, all that seems to happen is the opposition party gets in, they take down everything the first party went for, ending back at the start. Then the first party gets back in and takes down the opp party's decisions and it's am endless circle of nothingness.....UNLIKE SCIENCE

!!! ( I really like science ).

Some ducks have a corkscrew shaped penis, and after mating season it falls off to grow back the following season.

Leopards have barbed penile to help with insemination.....no wonder female cats screech when in coitus.
