Welcome to BYC and a huge thank you for helping your students will their challenges.

One of my dogs (recently passed) was a therapy dog. For the most part, we'd go to the pediatric cancer ward. He'd pull kids in a wagon, or just sit with his giant head on their laps. I loved seeing them light up when he came into the room.

I hope you get as much joy every day as I got on our visits with the kids.

Thank you again for all you do. And fire away with the questions - lots of really experienced experts on the site.

Is the a chance your town might grant a variance for roosters? Hatching might be a great experience for your kids!

You will enjoy your time here at BackYard Chickens and you'll have so much fun with your chickens! I'm sorry for the losses. Nobody wants a beloved chicken to die or have to give them away.
