Hi, I'm kinda new here, just been hanging out reading and learning a lot. My first batch of eggs from my backyard hens just started hatching and this morning, one hatched a day early with this thing hanging off the butt area. I'm not sure what this is and the chick is definitely more vocal than any of the others that have hatched so far.
Not the greatest pic but any ideas on what this might be?
editing: just had another one hatch and it has a bigger mass...so, it definitely looks like it is related to hatching early. Just not sure what can be done?
