ok...So last Saturday my DD and I went to the feed store to buy 3 new little chickies. (DD is as chicken addicted as I am, by the way!) We came home with a light brown EE, a dark brown EE, and a buckeye. As the buckeye is a pretty redhead, we named her Lucy, but my little girl couldn't seem to remember the name at first. She kept asking, "and what is the buckeye named again?" Her pronunciation was a little muffled, but she's 4, so I didn't think much about it.
Finally, after she asked that question again on Sunday evening, and I answered, "The buckeye is Lucy." she gave me her, "I'm thinking you're a little rude" eyebrows, and said, "Why do you keep calling her a butt? She's a nice chickie!" Apparently, she thought I was saying 'butt guy" instead of "buckeye!"
Naturally, my husband thinks this is hysterical...
