funny stuff on egg

When I went to gather my eggs today, one of them had a film over it, like it had been dipped in a thin coating of latex, I soaked it in warm water and pealed it off, Is something wrong with one of my hens?

Dont know much about this, but you must have picked it up just after it was laid. The film, as I understand is normal, and is kind of a protection.
