I have a strange little ritual myself when I close the coop door. I tell them "You be good girls, k?" I started that with my cockatiels and for some reason I just have to tell the chickens the same thing haha.

I do the same actually, but mainly because they don't get all flustered when I an locking up for the night.... Really.... that's why I do it..... Really.....

That's funny! My message tone on my phone is a recording of all of my girls doing the egg song at the same time! The other day I was in their coop doing some cleaning, when it went off... they looked at me so funny!!!! They had that look like they were thinking... that sound isn't supposed to come out of you!!! All I could do was laugh! Who says raising chickens isn't full of entertainment! LOL!!!

Soo funny! My husband has a turkey call app, and when he plays the "gobble" for my Tom, he will gobble right back and display!
