"I'm one of the black headed gulls," Ritz said. "Some of the prouder members of our family might say we are more handsome, wise, and refined than other gulls, but we are just smaller and more dependent."
Outcast turned her head on him sharply, a feather still sticking out of her beak. "How descriptive. I meant what is the official name of your breed, Genius." She said blandly. "Sounds like some of the prouder members of your family are a bit into themselves." She murmured, allowing an amused tone to enter her voice.

(Do they really know what species they are?)
"I'm a Bonaparte's, never seen a black-headed gull before? Where are you from? You sound foreign," Ritz said.

(Uhhh, probably not XD Sorry.)
Outcast looked at him oddly. "I don't usually stay around sea gulls." She paused at his following question. "I was hatched here, at the city."

"Hmm. I haven't been to the city before. Probably why. It seems like a horrid place. I'm kind of clingy," Ritz replied.

Fish Sticks could feel the air whistling against his feathers. He allowed himself to tuck in his wings, diving towards the surface of the seemingly calm ocean water, then flaring them out at the last second. His feet skimmed the water as he flapped his wings and found his way to an updraft, again circling in the sky.
He spotted a black-headed gull on the pier with a... gray-headed crow? Fish Sticks tucked in a wing and swooped towards them rather lopsidedly, landing ungracefully besides them.

Outcast couldn't help but give a huff of amusement at his last statement. "Can't be clingy to anything in the city, Gull." Her eyes flickered around the beach. "How you stand this place, Gull, I can't tell. Everything is ever changing in the city, but here it looks like it always stays the same, it's dull."

Ritz was about to reply with something about his family and friends, when a large gull landed lopsidedly beside them.

Ritz stifled a laugh as Fish Sticks landed clumsily beside him. He was a bit embarrassed that he didn't know his name, being so wrapped up in his black headed world. "And who are you?"

Outcast jumped, whirling on the newcomer. "Um..." Her eyes raked over the new gull, he didn't seem dangerous. Wasn't this the one that she had saw once while eavesdropping? What was his name... Sticks? Something or other Sticks.
She backed up several paces, starting to feel outnumbered.

"Fish Sticks at your service, small-gull." He practically squawked, hopping forward not to peer at Ritz, but at the crow. "An' who's your notgul friend?"

"Friend? She don't think none of that idea. Honestly, I don't know. I say she's foreign but she denies it. A good curiosity aren't you?" He prodded at Outcast. Ritz glided slowly over the waves.
