~>Fury of the Wind<~ (A Bird RP)

Nanako: could you tell me about that war later?? *she asked her friend.* what are you doing here anyway raven? Usually other species don't bother one another needlessly.
Barnacles stared at her as if it was obvious. “Haven’t you looked around yourself, bird?! There’s been a slaughter of your own kind!” He shook his head in exasperation. “I was just wondering what’s happenin’.” He grumbled.

Nanako: I know about that. *she was annoyed by this bird's tone.* it's infuriating that this even happened.

Infuriating?” Barnacles questioned, his eye dark. “I knew those birds. Some were my friends.” He cawed. “It’s a bit more than infuriating.” Suddenly, his eye bulged as a realization struck him. “You two are gang pigeons, aren’t you?!” That’s why they’re still alive! “Filthy killers!” He lunged at them, claws outstretched.

(Isn’t Nickel with Cement’s gang?)

(The gulls are hilarious XD)

Fish Sticks was still having waking nightmares about squirrels and did not hear him.
(oh yeah I forgot)
Riski took Fish Stick's blank stare as an encouragement to go on.
"Well you see, I met another petrel in New Zealand who told me about a rare magenta petrel living nearby. Boy was I disappointed when I found out she was actually just grey and white. Isn't that disappointing? Magenta petrels are just grey and white. Pink robins, pink cockatoos... now those won't disappoint you. Too bad I can't ever see those again. Never trust a New Zealander. They like to give things fancy names, but in the end, all you get is grey and white."

"Cement!" said an out-of-breath Ritz. The poor little harbour-gull had been flying back and forth all over the place as of late. "Our leader Fish Sticks has agreed to an alliance!"

Nanako: no I'm not! *she flew up to dodge him before pecking at him.*
“Don’t lie, bird!” Barnacles cawed. He lunged at Nanako, but then Rocket tackled him to the ground.
“Quick, get on his other wing!”

Fish Sticks listened attentively, for once not thinking of squirrels. I wonder what magenta is. He thought, but was scared to ask Riski. The big gull-like bird had a habit of sighing whenever Fish Sticks asked a question. Weren’t leaders supposed to question their comrades? Well, they were also supposed to look menacing. Fish Sticks had to admit that he wasn’t very menacing.

Cement’s head shot up. She nodded at his message. Giving the gull a careful inspection, she cooed a stern order to him. “Get some rest. It’s dangerous to be flying tired.”

*nanako looked at her friend and nodded before jumping on the raven's wings.*

Nanako: use your eyes. Do I have those same sharp things on my feet like they do?

The quick scouting birds of Cement’s gang arrived at the scene of the battle. The gang pigeons were gone. They looked about, aghast. It was a terrible scene. Speedy shook his head sadly. Broken egg shells, blood, and feathers were scattered everywhere. Along with the carcasses of pigeons, many of which had been their friends. The scout group spread out to look for survivors.

(Sighing
ded)

But if I get some rest I might forget what I'm supposed to say! Thought Ritz. That was part of the reason for his haste. But he obeyed, because Cement looked like stern stuff, much sterner stuff than his amazing gull leader, Fish Sticks. Pigeons must have higher standards than us gulls.
Ritz ran Sebastian's instructions through his head over and over again, constantly getting stuck on the bit about... what was it? Provisionary governments. What did the gull think he was anyway? Some kind of political scholar? If this is the information he relayed from Fish Sticks, imagine how articulate Fish Stick's actual instructions were!
Ritz was in constant limbo between awed and underwhelmed when it came to the fact that Fish Sticks was his leader. I can't believe I met him just a day ago!

“Eye.” Rocket corrected quietly. When her friend looked at her weirdly, she shrugged. “Sorry.”
Barnacles stopped struggling. He scowled. He peered at her foot, craning his head so his one good eye could see it. Seeing no razor-talons, he reluctantly grumbled. “That don’t prove anything, but I reckon a gang bird woulda killed me already.”
Rocket looked at Nanako, question in her eyes. Should they let him up?

Cement spared a glance in his direction. “Was that all he said?” She queried, wondering at the gull’s hesitation. From what she knew of them, gulls were relished and were rather good at relaxing.

Russet and the main battalion appeared on the horizon after a scout went back to their stealthy hiding place to tell them the coast was clear.
