~>Fury of the Wind<~ (A Bird RP)

Cement simply watched Riski in silence. She clenched her beak, irritation building up in her chest.
During a stretch of silence between the albatross’ laughter, wherein the huge bird appeared to be struggling to breath, Cement spoke.
“Though it may not affect you, wanderer.” She cooed, her quiet tone as icy as the waves below, “Pigeons have died for this. And more will die in the future.” Her eyes bore into him, “Whatever our plans are to you, they aren’t a laughing matter.”
(I’m really loving Cement right now)
Riski’s laughing politely morphed into a coughing fit. “Sorry. It’s just... yes, we’d make excellent allies, I agree.”
Russet frowned at him. “Maybe that’d be easier to believe if you quit laughing at us.”
“I wasn’t laughing at you, it’s just ‘coup!’” Riski explained, trying to stifle a few more coughs.

*Nana hopped forward a few steps and peered down at the bug.*

Nana: do you not like bugs??
Rocket watched from afar, her distrust of the bug evident. “It could be dangerous!” She protested. As Rocket reflected on what she had just said, she realized the ridiculousness of the situation. Something being dangerous had never stopped her before.

“We have to go.” Cement cooed. She really didn’t see the hilarity of the word.
She turned and headed towards the shore, worried that they had lost too much time already. The gulls might send more birds after them at any moment.

Nana: it is disgusting, but it's just a harmless beetle. *she kicked it away from her before hopping to rocket.*

“Oh.” Rocket said.
“Well, uh,” she looked around for something to change the subject, “back to foraging!”
Rocket hopped about, tilting her head to give herself what she thought was a better view of the ground. She stuck her beak in the grass and pulled out a seed.
Surprised with her own ability, Rocket ate the seed, before turning proudly to Nana. “That is how you forage!”

*nanako copied her and was about to pick at a small seed when an ant took it. She ended up picking up and eating both the seed and ant.*

Rocket looked up from rooting around in the grass to see Nanako swallow an ant whole. “Nana! You just ate an ant!” She exclaimed in alarm.

*nanako jumped and spat several times on the ground with a thoroughly disgusted look on her face.*

Nanako: it must have benn under that seed, gross!
Rocket made a face in sympathy. She put her head back down to the grass, pecking much more carefully now. The fear of accidentally eating an ant was inspiring a surprising wariness in her. She delicately plucked out a large seed and swallowed it. This isn’t too bad.
