"I'm.." Cloud hesitated, looking at his mate closely. "Well, it's just that... these birds, in the city, they worry me. Their wars are not our concern, I know. But... the pigeons are dangerous. We should not underestimate them."
Cedar sighed. "Their our prey," she said as if they had gone over this a thousand times. "I don't think a pigeon can do much damage!" she laughed clicking her beak.

Claw flew to the tree with the other ravens. "Azaz. Drex." She greeted them. "I have brought Shadow's new alliances. I assure you, we were not followed."
Azaz's cold black eyes acknowledged Claw and the others. "You sure, Claw? You remember what happened last time, don't you?" She asked, her eyes flickering with amusement. "Or is your memory failing you?" She smirked.
Claw grew irritated. "You know just as well as I do that-"
"Stop!" Drex cawed, his voice low. "You may go, Claw. Along with the... others." His gaze fell on the pigeons and he narrowed his eyes in disgust.
Lore felt his gaze bore into her and she stared at him with great dislike.

"Atta girl." After gliding in slow circles to try to keep impact off his leg he landed in a tree beside Claw, and beckoned for Lore to perch next to him. He scanned his surroundings carefully, looking for hidden ravens in the trees and future hiding spots. Then his eyes rested on the two birds Claw was talking to. He was favoring his good leg as discretely as possible. Though by now quite a bit of blood had covered his side from his wing injury. Though it seemed to be slowing down.
Lore got his signal and happily took a break from flying by perching right next to him. "Thats better," she panted. "My wings feel like they could drop off!"

Fish Sticks stared at the great bird, awe replacing the doubt in his eyes. "The desert.. I've heard of that. A land full of trees with spikes as big as pigeons, and sand everywhere. Sounds kinda boring, if you ask me. Also, I've heard it's freezing. Strange, a place that freezes all the time. Do sparrows live there?" His quick voice ended abruptly, and he carefully considered Riski.

(*her ;))

Bagel Bite gave a little chuckle at her remark, not being he thought it was funny but because he wanted to acknowledge it. He stared right back at the two new ravens, doing his best to seem brave and intimidating. But soon he got uncomfortable and started preening himself again, and without knowing shifted closer to Lore.

Lore didn't notice Bagel Bite and laughed with him then turning her gaze to the Ravens. "Why are we here?" she said to no one in particular but just loud enough for the Ravens to hear as well.

"Oh, the deserts I was at weren't like that. I've never been to the deserts of the western lands like these, you know. There's no sparrows there. But there are lots of finches on this certain island , and they're sparrowish," Riski replied.
"Sparrowish finches? Aren't all finches sparrowish?" Fish Sticks asked no one in particular. "Don't you agree with me?" He turned to the other seagull suddenly, who seemed rather overwhelmed by the conversation.

"Not a single pigeon. But an army." Cloud murmured, his voice practically a whisper. "Don't you see? They're gathering. Organizing. Sooner rather than later, they're going to become a threat to us." His normally soft voice hardened. "We have to do something about it before it's too late."

Claw glanced back at Lore. "Come," she said instead of answering the question. She hopped off the branch, flicking out her wings and leading the others to an old, abandoned barn. "Behold," she said, a hint of pride in her voice, "the resistance."

Lore stared at the barn. She wasn't sure what to think.

Cedar saw how worried her mate looked. To make him feel better she smiled and said, "I won't mind having more pigeons," she said clicking her beak at the thought of a nice plump pigeon. Pepper started to chant "Pigeon! Pigeon! Pigeon! I wanna eat more pigeon!" Cedar chuckled at Pepper. "Lets go hunting!" she said.

"Yeah, I agree with you," Ritz was frozen, eyes plastered on the albatross.

Bagel Bite followed them reluctantly, looking at the barn mildly, clearly his interest was still on the two ravens. "There ain't a pigeon army after us now so will you quit talkin in one worded sentences and tell us what on Earth you want, why we're here, and WHAT is going ON!?" He snapped.

Lore was relieved he asked.
