~>Fury of the Wind<~ (A Bird RP)

“No gang that is close by!” Rocket shouted back. “But the pier is neutral territory- sorta! Because of all the gulls!” She tucked in her wings and dipped down, then shot up again, trying to confuse their pursuers. One of them got caught up in the branches of a tree, but quickly untangled herself.
*nanako flew through some tight bushes and vines to try and ensnare her own persuer.*

Nanako: so where is the rest of your gang then? *she flew back up after her as she asked that.*

“In the middle of the City.” Rocket said. She looked around for somewhere they could hide. “See anywhere that we can stay until these bread-brains leave us alone?”

Nanako: I escape some persuers using thorn bushes. Their to afraid of getting cut and pricked. *she didn't like it either but is willing to do it if neccessary.* though iI haven't really seen any in this city.

“That won’t keep them away for long, we need somewhere to hide!” Rocket cooed.

“They chased us outta the city that we once shared with all the other notguls, forcin’ us and our chicks to go hungry!” Fish Sticks squawked, adding in a few of his own words. He could feel his confidence growing with every word, every nodding gull head, every squawk of agreement. “We’re only able to eat fish, and the picked-over trash of the dump, while they get fat on delicacies like pizza and subway bread and fish sticks! Food that grows not-good in the trash cans of the city!” He paused and surveyed the audience, even raising his wings for added effect. “Are we, the gulls, the most powerful race, gonna stand aside while those danged notgul pigeons oppress us?”

“Listen.” Blizzard looked around at his audience. His shoulders sagged a bit, but he kept going. “I’ll be honest with all of you, because it would be foolish not to. I’m working with a military lieutenant, as many of you know, but you didn’t know the exact nature of my work.” He cooed, “I’m helping her capture fugitives. And now I need some help to carry a fugitive, a gull, to the General. As I said, I’ll be truthful.. this gull’s only crime is that he attacked pigeons of the military. Probably in self defense.” He looked around at the gathered birds, his gaze searching. “I only do this to protect all of you. Moonlight agreed to give us safety if I helped her. Now, I need your help.” His eyes were pleading, pleading that some birds would come forward and help, and pleading that they wouldn’t look on him with disgust. “Please.”

“Not all the time!” Rocket squeaked, “There are a lot of gangs, and they don’t communicate that well!” She dived down to dodge a lamppost, then swerved to avoid a tree.
Some of the gulls were muttering now, not sure whether the impromptu speech was actually asking for audience participation. But being gulls, they did like to put in their own two fries. “No!” some of them howled.
Others didn’t seem so sure. The war had always seemed legendary to them, like they thought the gulls’ history had been biased and they had always been weak. Or if they had been a mighty force at one time, they were not one anymore, were too weak to assemble in that way again.
Riski didn’t know if the stories were true or not, but he was going to make it sound like they were.
“We were once a powerful army and the other birds feared us. But when the pigeons lost the war, we disbanded. Seperated we are weak, in unity we are strong. If we assemble as we once did, we will be feared,” he whispered to Fish Sticks. This was sensitive... who knew if the gulls would accept a flat out proposal to assemble an army.

Some of the pigeons whispered together about Blizzard’s mysterious history. But his whole flock respected him, knowing everything he did was for his protection.
A nervous young male pigeon and a couple older pigeons stepped forward, stating that they would be willing to go with Blizzard on his mission if need be. The younger pigeon looked unhappy, but he was too curious about Blizzards’ haunts to turn down the offer.
He was an orphan, a victim of the brutality of the pigeon gangs. But he wanted to know just what Blizzard was up to.

“We were once a powerful army that the notguls feared! But, when the pigeons won the war, we disbanded! Separated we are weak, united we are strong! If we assemble again, like the gulls of legend, we will be feared!!!” Fish Sticks practically bellowed the last part of his-and-Riski’s-speech.
Squawk erupted in the assembled gulls. They raised their wings and argued loudly with each other. Some shouted questions up at Fish Sticks, but most were lost in the noise.
“Our life is fine as it is!”
“We can beat those tiny, round notguls!”
“There are too many pigeons!”
“Yeah! Let’s reclaim our pizza!”
“Who will lead us?”
Fish Sticks watched it all, his wings limp at his sides. He had just done this. But, why? Sure, Riski had told him to, but he wouldn’t have said all that just for him. All his life, Fish Sticks halacked ambition. He never thought that he would deliver a speech trying to rally the gulls for war. Did he even know what he was doing? Maybe. And that was the part that scared him the most.

Splash shook his head. He shivered and shook his head again. Why would Blizzard do this? He’s trying to protect us. This, Splash knew. But the cost was too high. That gull was in the same situation as many of the gathered pigeons here.

Nanako: thats the best I got, sorry. *she said in responce.* I do not know this city well. *she looked down to see if she could spot any place they could hide.*
“Keep looking,” Rocket said. She knew the dump was close by, but it wasn’t exactly a safe place for pigeons. However, it was a great place to hide..

*nanako scanned the ground below for a place that they could hide. She could see lots of things from buildings to humans, but not yet any hiding places.*

Rocket changed direction slightly, heading towards the dump. She didn’t intend to land there, unless there was no other alternative.
