~>Fury of the Wind<~ (A Bird RP)

Nanako: who exactly are they fighting?? *to her it was difficult to tell the different pidgeons apart because they were so close together. Then she gave a look of surprise when she spotted a pidgeons she knew from her racing days. A young male only a little older then her.*
“Oh no!” Nickel squealed, searching the group for a white pigeon. Blizzard. He flapped over. “Blizzard! Sulliver’s gang is advancing on you!” he gasped, crash landing beside Blizzard. It had been a long flight from the dump.
Blizzard, looking to the skies, turned his head for a second to glance at Nickel. “Yes, I know- wait, Nickel? What are you doing here?” The curious young pigeon usually hung out closer to the city, and Blizzard didn’t remember seeing him with the flock today.

Rocket shuffled her wings in indecision. “This doesn’t seem right.” She muttered, then, louder, to Nanako. “Does this seem.. wrong to you?”

“I was in the dump, until I saw Sulliver’s gang flying overhead, so I followed them and I found you!” Nickel sounded more cheerful and excited than frightened now. “So you should probably get out before you’re torn to pieces by a gang with ill intents.”

Blizzard looked at him with a weary expression. “We can’t.” He said in a gruff voice. He gestured to the nests with his beak. Sadness showed in his movements. He knew he was signing his own death warrant by staying here.
“You should go, Nickel. Tell Cement and her gang, but don’t let Suliver’s birds see you.”

Nanako: yes it does, did those birds do something to deserve being surrounded like this??

“I don’t- no, I don’t think so.” Rocket stammered. She stared up at the mass of birds slowly getting closer to the small non-member flock, her eyes full of uncertainty.
“It’s just a peaceful flock of deserters.. non-members.” She cooed quietly. Thoughts raced through her head, excuses for what the gang pigeons were about to do. Crimes the non-members might have committed.
There had to be something. There had to be a reason.

(Blizzard, not Suliver)
Nickel nodded quickly. “I’ll go,” he said briskly, flapping to the site of the bridge.
“Cement!” he cried. “Suliver’s gang is slaughtering Blizzard’s flock!” (I imagine she’ll be much too late.)

“Wh-” Cement’s question died in her throat as she heard the rest of Nickel’s message. She stared blankly at him. Almost instantly, her mind had come to a conclusion which made her feel sick.
Cement had to help Blizzard. But, when her birds showed up to the fight, it would expose her plan. Their opportunity, perhaps their only one, to foil Suliver’s coup would be gone.
I’m wasting time, she scolded herself.
“Rus-”
Once again Cement broke off as she realized that her rush of logic had overlooked one key fact- the distance between the piers and her gang was too far. They were already too late.
Still, there could be survivors. For all she knew, the resilient little flock had managed to hold back the attackers.
“Russet.” She cooed firmly, turning to her mate, who had trotted up at Nickel’s arrival. “Organize a small group of our quickest. And-” Cement paused, considering how much danger the gang would in be if their fighters flew. “a larger force of fighters to follow them. Stealthily.”

“Got it,” Russet said. “Speedy, Beaks, Trenton, and Pearl, come with me,” he said, selecting some of the fastest (and closest.) Then he brought his voice to the top of his coo, inflating his crop like a thief pouter. “Anyone else who can fight, please follow. But stay far behind, and stay hidden. Get more. We want a large group.”

The birds swept into the air, the ones who had stayed staring after them worriedly.
