~>Fury of the Wind<~ (A Bird RP)

The pigeon twisted and slashed at Blizzard’s breast, going at least as far as drawing blood.
Blizzard hopped backwards and slapped at her with a wing. It seemed as if he was moving in slow motion. The exertion of the fight was too much for him. I’m too old for this.

This is too easy, thought the pigeon. She sliced deeper into the breast, managing to stab in between the ribs this time.

Blizzard gasped. He stumbled away, slapping weakly at her again.
I’m done for. Blizzard realized. His breath was coming in gasps.
Blizzard looked down at his flock, fighting for their lives, and losing. He turned back to his opponent. They had all struggled to survive the gang violence, living at the very edge of pigeon territory. But they had survived. They had thrived. Now it was all over. The non-members were sorely outmatched and outnumbered. The unfairness of it sickened him.
Might as well make my death count. Blizzard thought. He thrust himself at the pigeon, barreling into her with what little strength he had left. They both tumbled off the edge, towards the bouldery shore of the bay far below.

The pigeon gasped as the injured pigeon threw himself at her. And then they were dashed on the rocks below. There she was. Dead.

Meanwhile, Fish Sticks nodded along to what Sebastain was saying. He occasionally glanced at Riski, but he doubted he needed any guidance in this. Pigeons allying themselves with them was definitely good. Or was it? Maybe they wanted to feed the lot of ‘em to the squirrels. Anything but the squirrels. Fish Sticks thought, distracted enough that he hadn’t heard anything Sebastain had said for the last minute.

Salty Fries sat in a dark hole. She only knew that pigeons had put her here and that she couldn’t get out. That made her angry.

The pigeon with the white flight feathers preened herself smugly. Everything was going as expected. The non-members were being quietly wiped out. A fate which One-Toe and any gang leaders and lieutenants foolish enough to stand with her would soon share. Then, they would absorb the rest of the gang pigeons into their ranks, feeding them false tales about a crow attack that had ever so tragically taken their beloved leaders. Crows, were, in the pigeon’s eyes, just more annoying ravens. And what bird had mercilessly assassinated the pigeon’s last great leader? A conniving raven. Of course, she knew something about that attack most didn’t... Ah, but it wasn’t the time for reminiscing. It was the time for planning.

Pigeons shiver when they’re nervous or scared. It’s a fact many of the other birds have always used to taunt them.
Splash wasn’t thinking about that as he shivered violently. He couldn’t totally tell if it was from the cold or sheer fright.
He had been captured. The thought of what could be happening to his friends made him shiver even more.
At least Graya escaped. She must have warned them. Just then, there were noises. Splash crouched fearfully. He couldn’t see anything. He was imprisoned in a mostly empty garbage container in a large abandoned warehouse.
The lid was cracked open, and a squawking pigeon thrust in. Just as quickly as it had opened, it snapped shut, and Splash heard a strange quiet snap noise as something was put in place to keep the lid closed.
The gasping breath of the other pigeon filled the silence. Splash moved forward.
“Who’s- who’s there!” The pigeon shrieked, wing slapping aimlessly at the darkness.
“Penny? Is that you?”
Penny stilled. “Spla-Splash?”
“Yeah, it’s me.”
“Oh, I thought you were the be-beast.” She said, voice quivering, much like Splash’s feathers.
“No.. no. Just Splash” He cooed, trying not to shake too much, as it was making his voice indecipherable. “Wait, what beast?”
“Those awful gang birds. They told me they were going to feed me to the beast..”
“There’s no beast in here.” Splash said firmly, having finally taken control of his voice. However confident he sounded, he had no idea what else was in the warehouse. He had only gotten a short look of it, and much was shrouded in darkness. Then, something almost equally unsettling occurred to him.
“Penny- you flew away after Tippy’s news. You escaped. Why.. why are you here?”
“Oh, Splash. It was horrible. I didn’t want to leave you birds, but I flew. I was so scared. But they were waiting... all around the flock. This big circle. All surrounded.” She paused, her voice breaking. She took in several unsteady breaths. “I don’t know if anyone got away. Even those that flew as soon as Tippy’s words were out of his mouth were not fast enough. Everyone’s doomed..” Her coo went higher in pitch at her last words. She shuddered, laying down as pigeons do on the floor, fluffing her feathers over her feet. “I don’t know if anyone survived.” She added, coo deathly quiet.
Splash didn’t know what to say. He carefully walked up beside her, offering a meager comfort in body warmth. What happened to the flock? Did.. did anyone escape?
Did anyone survive?

(wow, this writing is fantastic)
"Excellent," Riski mused. "An alliance with the pigeons would be wonderful. So some of the pigeons of higher standing are planning a coup? But the One-Toe's replacement would only be worse? Fascinating!
Do you think it's possible that we could take advantage of this coup? If One-Toe is to die, then we could very forcefully establish a new leader. In the confusion, it would be quite easy to make it Cement instead of whoever they plan to establish. Or, if we successfully stop the coup, One-Toe will be indebted to us. She'll be forced to allow the gulls to share the city. Especially if we threaten her." A congenial smile curved across Riski's long beak.
"What do you say, Fish Sticks?"

A raven flapped down to a boulder. He cocked his head so he could stare at the pair of pigeons below him with his one good eye, which was a startlingly light yellow. “Hey! What’s happenin’? Why’re you beating each other up?” He cawed, making one of the pigeons jump.
Rocket spun around to stare at the raven. She didn’t say a word, nudging Nanako with a wing (@Anime2lover ) and quickly getting into a ready-to-fight stance.

(Thanks :D)
Fish Sticks continued nodding until he realized that everyone had gone quiet. “What?” He squawked, looking about at their intent faces. “Oh! Oh, yeah, the pigeons, we should ally with them!” He declared. “Unless they’re friends with squirr- I mean, our enemies.”

Nanako: that crow is an enemy to you? *she asked when she saw her reaction to him*
