~>Fury of the Wind<~ (A Bird RP)

Barnacles cocked his head, his one glaringly yellow eye watching Yuno with some suspicion. After several seconds of the pathetic performance, he couldn’t take it any more. He sighed in defeat.
“Ah, bloody ‘ell, I’ll help ya, kid!” He cawed in exasperation. “I’ll take ya where you want to go.”
"But I can't remember where-.." Yuno squawked back, hopping from foot to foot.

“Well this was a worthless trip!” Russet said, kicking a rock and sending it skidding over a precipice, splashing into the water below. “If anything, coming here only made things worse.” He flapped his wings and rose above the hill. Gulls are anything if not stupid. Their first leader was stupid and kind, and this one’s stupid and mean. It’s not very much to ask for to have a gull equaling my intelligence, is it?

Riski, meanwhile, was locating the nearest exits in case he was the next one told to “scram.”
Vaatras raised his wings as gulls both reluctantly and enthusiastically celebrated and congratulated him on his victory. There was some grumbling, but it was drowned out by the squawks of his supporters. Seagulls didn’t have many rules, but they had to respect a winner. And Fish Sticks had started the duel, after all. The ones opposing Vaatras would either have to accept him or take their leave from the gull battalion. Several had already flown off or looked like they were about to. It was bad enough to be bossed around by Vaatras when he was just a Senior gull, but now he was an actual leader.

Oyster stared after the retreating pigeons, her piercingly yellow eyes never leaving them for a second. She knew that capturing them right now might not go over well with the gulls previously in line with Fish Sticks, but she couldn’t follow them herself. She needed to be here to make sure Vaatras didn’t screw anything up. Now, let’s see.
Oyster quickly found the smartest two of her and Vaatras’ loyalists and sent them after Russet and Cement, warning that if they weren’t stealthy, she would “drown them herself.”

Cement flew silently, dismay following her as surely as the quiet flapping of her wings. The wind buffeted her and her mate, and she tried to dip below it to avoid it. Distracted by the wind and her thoughts, she didn’t notice the gulls following them from above.

Sebastain weaved, as much as a gull could weave, through the edge of the crowd towards Riski. Once he reached him, he tried to tap his shoulder and accidentally whacked him in the face with a wing. “Oops, nervous.” He said quietly. “You should go, Riski. Vaatras won’t stay distracted for long.” He said, concern in his eyes.

Barnacles tipped his beak towards the sky. “Can’t remember, eh?” He shook his head. “Big turmoil in the Woods.” He muttered, thinking aloud.
“I know! I’ll take ya to Cat-Eyes!”

Russet flapped for a bit, not noticing the gulls right away. But when he did... “Hey! What are you two tag-along gulls following us for?” he asked, glaring up at the pair with a blazing orange eye. “Haven’t you got something better to do than follow two poor pigeons back home?”
~
Riski mouthed a silent thanks, bobbing his great head. A couple of steps and he was soaring off the cliff, flying back to the shore. To where would he go? That was beyond his guess.
(It would be more like him to keep flying west, but honestly I wanna keep playing him, so yeah.)

"W-who??!" Yuno squawked, hopping from foot to foot again, confused and a little scared.

Cement quickly tilted her head to stare around for the gulls. Spotting the two birds above them, she realized that their departure hadn’t gone unnoticed. She quickened her pace. She gestured at Russet to do the same by flapping in front of him and darting ahead. We need to be gone before those gulls can plan their next move. Cement thought grimly.

The gulls, overhead the pigeons by a distance, didn’t hear Russet’s coos. Though one did notice his scathing orange-eyed glare and their increase in speed.

“‘Ey, Scarbs, they spotted us!” He squawked, unfazed by the wind whipping against them and threatening to tear his words away. Gulls had a certain assurance that they were louder than the wind.

“AUGHK! THEY DID!” Scarbs practically bellowed back. “WHATTA WE DO?!”

The other gull spent a few moments in thought. “Well, boss’ll drown us if she knows.” He said slowly. An idea, which seemed pretty darn smart to him, popped into his mind.
“LET’S CATCH ‘EM!”

“Knew you’d know whatta do, Tacean!” Scarbs yelled before tucking in her wings for the dive.

(Maybe Riski could spot the pigeons in trouble and help them? Would that be in character?)

"W-who??!" Yuno squawked, hopping from foot to foot again, confused and a little scared.
“Cat-Eyes!” Barnacles said again, as if that explained everything. He started to hop away, raising his wings in preparation for flight. Finding a suitable boulder, he gave his wings a mighty flap and-

...landed on the boulder. Raising his wings once again, he jumped from the boulder into the air, his wings flapping heavily as he started to rise with the wind. It almost seemed as if he would drift back to the ground, his wings unused to the exercise. Gradually, though, the effort lessened as he rose and steadied his flight. Looking down at Yuno on the ground, Barnacles squawked loudly,

“You comin’ or not?”

"Coming-" He squawked quickly, precisely and very carefully flying from boulder to boulder, favoring one side very slightly as he flew.

The reason why was because Yuno had sustained a major wing injury from when he was just a chick, as a small snake had tried to attack him, however, his mum had been there, and shooed it off before it could get too far. Now it was basically healed, but sometimes certain other birds could still tell he was injured, which is why he didn't like flying much.

Although it was barely noticeable know, it was a great deal easier to see when he flew around, so he felt somewhat insecure for a moment.

So, as he continued to cautiously fly, he also tried to push these thoughts out of his head, and he landed on the boulder next to Barnacles slowly.

(I don’t know, but if he’s going the same direction it’s reasonable)
Riski had been flying a ways ahead, buffeted by the wind, contemplating his next move. As he wheeled in lazy circles, he noted the approach of the two poor little pigeons that the gulls had evicted.
I wonder if they could use my help. I’m committed to this coup now, helping in one way or another.
“Hey!” He called. His voice did not carry very far, so he wheeled closer to the approaching pigeons. “HEY!”
It was at that moment that Riski noted that a fair ways away, a pale gull was diving. He hadn’t noticed it before because he didn’t look up very much. Albatross instinct told him not to fear aerial predators, and for all his training, he hadn’t been able to shove it.
Not that Riski feared two puny gulls. He could take them. It was one thing to fight his way out of a flock and another to face just two.
