~>Fury of the Wind<~ (A Bird RP)

@Anime2lover here are your characters!

I believe they’re both with Rocket in Cement’s gang, and are going to be part of the defensive attack against Suliver?
*nanako stayed close to rocket. She didn't trust these other birds, but rocket she did trust.*

*dane kept to himself as he watched the proceedings, preening his feathers now and then as he did.*

Cement looked over at a light gray pigeon with feathered legs; Pop, leader of Pop’s Gang, the only gang leader she and Russet had told about the coup. They simply didn’t know who to trust, and every other bird they might have told were just lieutenants, and didn’t have gangs of their own, making them too big of a liability without much in return.

Pop’s gang was stationed with Cement’s gang in strategic locations around the city, but his gang was small and not particularly good at fighting. Pop was easygoing, and his gang was located near the center of the city, so there weren’t many fights to be had. Cement only had to hope that Suliver didn’t have many allies. And that the gulls pull through.

Shard was telling her General about her experience with the rebels near the border. “It was a ragtag group,” she said, “or, at least, that’s how they appeared at first. But they managed to escape and injure me in the process. It’s important that these rebels are not to be underestimated…”

Next, a dark gray lieutenant with a patch of white on his face asked a question that made Cement jerk her beak sharply towards him, suddenly listening intently.

“Anyone heard anything about that flock of deserters by the pier lately?” He scratched his head with one foot, unconcerned. “I did a pass by few days ago and didn’t see nothin’. Didn’t investigate though. Any of you chase ‘em off?”

Cement wondered if Suliver would respond. She didn’t look at him.

Suliver didn’t say anything, and the meet went on, various pigeons speculating on what could’ve happened without too much interest. They were just deserters, after all.

Rocket, far away from the annual meet, stirred anxiously. Though her wing ached, she yearned to fly, and was quickly becoming bored. When half the gang had prepared to set off, presumably for battle, Rocket had expected that she and Nanako would go with them— wherever it was they were going. But an angry bird named Swift had expressly forbade them from coming, claiming it was because Rocket was “injured”. Then, after the majority of the gang had left, the mysterious gang leader and her slightly-less-mysterious mate had flown off on their own.

Now Rocket and Nanako were stuck with a bunch of squeakers, eggs, elders, a few injured pigeons, and a smattering of parents tending to the young. Rocket couldn’t stand the fretting of the parents and a certain youngster called Nelson for any longer.

“Nana,” she cooed quietly, “we should get out of here.”

Nanako: the youngsters annoying you as much as they are me? *she asked quietly. Though she didn't dislike them, she did find their questions annoying.*

Just as she finished her question, a squeaker who had been staring wide-eyed at them piped up with another question.
“Hey, can you teach me how to flyyyy?”

Rocket rolled her eyes. “I told you, kid, go bother your dad or something!” She cooed, shooing the young pigeon away with a wing.

Rocket dropped her voice, something she wasn’t much good at. “I think the rest of this gang has gone off to a battle.” She tried to whisper. “I wanted to go.. find them…” Rocket trailed off as she realized that she was asking Nanako to do something she may not even want to do. “I mean, you can come with me if you want.” She added hurriedly.

“I want to come!” Piped up the squeaker.

“Not now, kid!” Rocket cooed.

Nanako: yea, I'll go with you. *she looked at the chick.* you aren't ready to go yet.*

(I was thinking dane joined the gang that helped them as a trial member and went along to the meeting.)
(The rest of the gang isn’t at the meeting, they’re waiting nearby for Russet’s signal.)

“Ok, let’s go!” Rocket said, but just before she was about to take off, she realized that they would have to be cautious about this. “Um, how are we gonna escape.. unnoticed?”

Thought they were at the meeting.) Maybe using boxes and other obstacles??

(Let’s write it out)

Rocket stared quizzically at Nanako. After a second of no response, Rocket decided that she would have to figure this out herself. She was not a very patient bird.

“Is that a hawk?” Rocket yelled, pointing at a random place in the sky. The nearest pigeons looked up, and a few others darted to safety under the bridge.

“C’mon!” Rocket flew in the opposite direction that she had been pointing.

“Hey!” A pigeon jumped off her egg to glare after them. “Where are you going!”
