Rocket took a moment to observe her surroundings, ignoring the itchy paper wrapping. She saw a pigeon that could be Nanako’s friend, Dane. And there was one of the pigeons she had talked to yesterday, puffed up defensively on a nest. That pigeon over there looked like... Nickel?!

Cement cooed an agreement. First, though, she flapped over to the always-dependable Rikka and asked about the health of the new arrivals. Rikka informed her that three were unharmed, though there were two with wing injuries. “That youngling, Pita, might not be able to fly again. Our field medic, as you know, doesn’t have experience with much other than minor injuries.” She cooed, “Oh, and Pearl’s been taking care of that egg.” She gestured to the newly dedicated pigeon.
I forgot about Rocket’s injury. XD

Both are of Neet Neet.
Improvement! These are actually quite good! If you keep practicing you’ll be a good artist. You’ll probably say “no, I can only draw pigeons and chickens” but that’s a good start. I started with chickens but with practice moved to humans.
Speaking of humans if you drew Charlie I’d be happy to see it because I love seeing everyone’s efforts in drawing characters even if not perfect because they tried!!

It’s been the pigeons all along.

Also, Amer, the pigeon in your avatar. Tell me more, is it your’s?
No.
I was at the Beaver Pigeon and Bantam show and there was this white homing pigeon flying around. She didn’t seem very experienced and got exhausted after a while so I imagine she doesn’t get out much. She was clearly a bird who’d escaped from the swap or show so I wondered if I could catch her. She landed on this deck

She was gasping for breath. That’s when I saw this little boy. We didn’t say anything, just looked at each other and knew. We were going to catch that pigeon. He snuck up on one side of the deck, I the other. We stealthily closed in with little steps, closer, closer! She was within grasp! I caught her!
I couldn’t believe that in my hands was a member of the world’s fastest species. The boy said he’d been tracking her for a while and knew who the owner was and that he would give it to them, so I gave the pigeon to him but asked if I could take a picture so I could share this story with others. Here she is, still gasping for breath, in the boy’s hands:

If she didn’t already have an owner she definitely would have become my pigeon though.

Wow, you have more pigeon catching experience than me. XD Sounds like you saved her life! :D
Maybe she was bred for show instead of sport?
