The other eggs didn’t hatch. The mamma’s/ broodies threw one egg out after a few days. This egg had a dead full grown chick inside. 😢 Yesterday I discarded the last unhatched eggs.

But I am happy with these 3 lovely chicks if there is at least one pullet (hope for 2 or 3) among them .

The 2 hens behave both as mama , sharing one nest (I took the room divider out) calling the chicks , keeping them warm and showing the little ones how to look for bugs 🐛 🐜 🕷

Today they came down for the first time to scratch in the dirth together with the 2 mama’s. I made an extra nest downstairs in case the chicks wouldn’t go up again. But in the afternoon they found their way up again.

1: I think peep/chirp is the correct word for chickens. Although, if you were trying to type the actual noise they make... I have absolutely no clue.
2. I'm sorry about the eggs that didn't hatch!
3. Your chicks are beautiful- I think my little chick, Sandstorm, is the same breed as the one on the right in the photo. I'm so happy for you that your hens are getting along and that the chicks are doing well- good luck!

Wow...
I THINK Sandy is that, but she may be something else entirely.
I have 17 birds and I don't remember their breeds and I am becoming extremely confused.
