Fuz on the feet?

One of my chicks has, how should I say this, Fluff? I don't really know what to call it but it's there haha. I tried to wash it off because I thought maybe poo stuck to him and he collected the fluff thoughout his day but the is actually growing on his feet. Anyone have an explanation as to why? Or if it will go away?

You probably have a breed with feathered legs...

I have 3 feather footed chicks in my flock. Very nice birds. I have a dark brahma, mille fleur d'uccle and frizzle Cochin.
