A few years ago there were Christians in the ME who were forced out of their neighborhoods by intolerant people. The "N" was painted on the sides of houses owned by Christians, to identify them as "Nazarenes", before expelling them from their homes. I started using the "N" as a show of support for Christians persecuted for their faith.

I do homemade broth all the time, just simmering on the stove for hours whenever I have bones with meat on them. Cooked until the connective tissue separates from the bone.

I miss Tessa's and Willow's cheeping! When Tessa's (the Speckled Sussex) voice broke, she came out with a very surprising baritone, far deeper than the older three's voices!

I have no idea what Willow's (younger EE) voice sounds like. She can't get a word in edgewise, I guess.

I bought a cantaloupe, sliced it up, fed the seed goop to the hens, who loved it.
Yesterday, after eating a couple slices I took the remaing rind to the coops, which was gratefully accepted.

In the bottom of the container there was some melon juice. I held the container close to the ground. Esther came over and drank most of the juice before Abigail realized she was missing out. Some of the other Sussex will drink juice as well.
