I think so. I had eight that made it past the final candling. One pipped but did not progress, and was dead when I opened the egg. The two that hatched pipped and unzipped without any problems at all
I left them in the incubator until tomorrow but I don't think I will see any more out of this batch.

Well, hopefully one more pullet to add to the flock!

I almost had a heart attack last night when I realized that the eggs weren't being turned. Somehow the incubator had turned it off.

I reset the factory settings and it now appears to be turning the eggs every two hours.


Tamar seems to be doing fine.

Tamar was off the nest when I checked on the flock this afternoon, but she'd covered the eggs?

Later she was on the eggs again.

Little (I think) male keeps pecking at little (I think) female. His name might have to change to Vader.

Incubator is NOT automatically turning the eggs.

I am NOT amused.

Will turning them manually twice a day be enough? I can turn them before I leave the house in the morning, and 12 hours later when I get home.

Sorry it's not turning for you.

If you can only turn every 12 hrs that is what I would I would do.

Hopefully someone can give give you better advice on minimal turning.

You should probably shoot for three to five times a day. They don't have to be at equal time increments , so that might help.
