I hatched out a few eggs yesterday. They were supossed to be Marens X EE's. Well, 1 has no tufts or muffs, but it has 5 toes and very heavy leg feathering. It hatched out a blue egg. The rest have 4 toes and muffs and light feathering. Whatch yall think? Did I get something else? It also looks like it has a single comb.

Easer Eggers have no standard, so feathered legs and 5 toes are easily possible--Easter Eggers are a cross--of just about anything that has the blue egg gene with just about anything else. With the single comb it probably did not inherit the blue egg gene, but there is a slim chance that it did.

Yes some Marans are feather legged. EEs are really mutt chickens, they can pretty much hatch out anything and everything. I had some beautiful hens that were EEs. Sold them all off this Spring. And sold the last of the chicks a couple of days ago.
