morning all- thanks for thinking of me;

I WAYYYYYYYYY overslept today.
Checked my girls (and they are all girls until they crow) everyone is fine this morning. Whatever was here forgot I have two very large dogs...and I made sure to close the gates last night. I got lax being as suburban as I was. Wont happen again.

Last night at my stepdaughters- who lives by RAZ- there was an OWL in her tree. It was awesome to see one up close and personal particularily because he was no threat to my chickens. The owl seemed curious as to who and what we all were and flew from tree to tree to watch us. It wasnt a big owl. Just larger than a pigeon.
AND yesterday morning, according to my husband, there was a hawk trying to get in with my chickens. Desperate jerk. Im sure he is a late migrator and looking for a meal. But my girls are small and they fit under the coop and my dogs are BIG- and they would catch me a hawk if it tries to get my girls under the coop. Husband said it didnt come down but went from tree to roof to gone.

My mom is no better- and yes Nova- I help her get onto the sitting walker and then drive her to the bathroom. Then do it in reverse. Each time takes about a half hour. So much pain.

My son and daughter Tiff came yesterday, and so did my husband. We got the yardwork done. Wanna hear something that almost landed either my son or me in jail? The neighbor= you know the one that reported my mom to the city? He reached wayyyyyyyyyyyyyy over the fence with a saw on a pole and cut a main branch of the tree-at least six feet inside the fenceline- and made it crash down and take out part of the privacy fence and landed this huge branch in Moms yard. My son and I and my stepfather told him off. Ry wanted to go beat the crap out of the weasel man next door but we couldnt let him. My husband called him some choice names. THe neighbor said he was cutting the branch off his garage. I reminded him FENCE LINE= you dont get to reach way over like that. MY mom was too upset so I couldnt tell her about the fence. We fixed it.
The only good thing is in this mans greed and assinine moves, he tore the gutter off his garage. My husband sawed the branch up and loaded it into our truck. I wanted to use the branch to take out the neighbors wires that cross moms yard but nobody would let me.

Im running really late. Pretty chicken pictures. Robin, your roo is very goodlooking. BYFM- Im sorry rooitis is contagious, so you know Pate is a boy. And at least you know- congratulations- that you will be having a baby boy, as well.

All i can say is wait for carma...........can take years but i've never had someone who did me wrong not get it.................. firm believer, that's why i try to be good! ;D

Rooitis bit me hard this year! 9 roos /12 chickens...

I also believe in Karma... what goes around comes around.
(maybe one of the neighbors trees will fall on his garage... maybe Karma has something else planned for that lil stinker)

I am EXPECTING SANTA in 6.5 weeks

so yes... I am expecting another male...
