I was out in our barn late last night and a possum squeezed under the side door. As soon as he saw me, he squeezed back outside but I'm thinking he comes in at night and eats whatever feed is left in the goats feeders. I didn't realize they will kill a chicken. Possum may not last very long around here now.

It's finally cold here. Front came in last night. It's 38 and supposed to get down to 30. That's probably a heat wave for you in MI - lol.

Bought some Tension Tamer tea (Fuzzy was that you that drinks it?). I could use just some nice calming de-stressing.

I've got two 2X2 1/2 windows on the south end of the girls coop that I haven't covered. The windows on the North end shut so there's no draft from one end to the other. Do you think I should cover the south windows and just cut holes in the top of the walls and put in vent covers that can open and shut? I'm not sure how cold the girls should get...

Hmm. DH's lovely family next door released about 5-6 of them into the woods behind the house :( One came running in the day because he must've been on the ground, and my cat had spooked him. (My cat don't hunt, unless it's something really small). He scared the dickens out of my and the birds, though, but it looked like he was just scared and really thirsty. (I think he should've still been with a mother) I was really mad at them, releasing a bunch of babies out to a dried up creek. DH I easily caught him with some gloves and DH brought him far into conservation where there was plenty of other possom tracks and fresh water. I have always wondered if the others made it out, if they will come to the chickens when they get desperate........now i know :(
They are weaned really young and put on their own. And yes, when they get hungry they will be there.

Yes, that's me. Makes me more mellow, think clearer. Sometimes if i'm stressed my mind races a million miles an hour, can't think clear enough to make a decision! This kinda slows me down just enough to take a breath, think, and make a plan :)

Aside from the mint the other active ingredient is siberian ginsing. They call it by another name, but it's another name for that; it's not the same as the other ginsing. My mom said it was on dr oz too. I like dr oz, but it bugs me when i do something he says because then i feel like i'm "trending" :p

I only with about the possums if they get in the coop... I check the coops at close up time looking for visitors.

I got the plastic fence up... I will get pic tomorrow. I put it up on the outside of the winter plastic since it doesn't move, added way to keep it in place...

I am so tired... Its nearly bed time. So. Happy.

Ha ha. The doc put me on prednisone for my asthma and it's messing with my moods. Thankfully, I'm finished with it in a couple of days. No sleep, on edge, jump jump jumpy etc. etc. Thought the tension tamer might help with this until I get off the pred so going to go make me a cup. Yeah, I agree with the dr oz 'trending' ha. Thank you Fuzzy.
