What On Earth Happened To My Silkie?!
For all you living in Oklahoma, you probably experienced the storm we had. I woke up at 5 AM to a really loud clap of thunder. But, anyway, Isabella, my white silkie, decided it would be fun to run around in the rain. So, when I went to the chicken coop, what I saw was a much smaller white chicken, which sounded like Isabella, but looked nothing like her! She had gotten wet and was completely shrunken (her fluffy feathers were damp, so they didn't stick up all poofy-like). Her crest just made me laugh out loud. It was so funny looking because it had three little wet feather clumps, where all her fluffy feathers were matted together.
She was completely unrecognizable! She will be getting a bath for sure!
