I'm also giving serious thought to putting up a chicken wire wall on the right of the door, to give the d'uccles their own space this winter? I will make my final decision after the deed is done
I should've done it weeks ago, so the girls would be fatter. Henry is pretty considerate, he's leaving the blue molting girl alone and now cookie is mature he pesters her now and again. I've caught them "making eyes" so it's consensual, lol.
The other day i put the red roo out all day, left the others inside while i went out and tried to shop; I could almost feel the sigh of relief! After about half an hour, the girls decided that they were safe and came down to eat and henry didn't pester at all! I wanted henry to get used to sharing his space with another roo, but my red roo is getting squirrely, and i remember that plucky was a good boy to the other roos until after he got his backside kicked, then he hated any other boys!
