Fuzzy's Farm

I can honestly say I don't get the chicken dynamics of hen to roo. I know sister to brother is wrong for pairing. But I swear I saw something about parent and offspring being okay for pairing. How on earth could that possibly be? Please correct me if this is totally wrong.
Im not sure but my sister says no brother and sister but mom son and dad daughter are ok ...

I found my good flashlight and candled. They've 10 gaysto go. So, I am watching them, and it was so cool to earthen wiggling. I put the fab corpses from Abalone chicks under Skatter. So, they'll be 3/4 fab, 1/4 whatever else, mostly Sussex.

God this one is funny!

days to... Fav cross eggs from Avalon's chicks... They'll be 1/2 fav, 1/4 silkie and 1/4 Sussex. Duh.

It's like Nova said - Line breeding versus in breeding. This is how it was explained to me when I used to breed cockers. And just to clarify this I did neither !!! It was explained that when you breed brother and sister that is called in breeding. Mother and son, father and daughter - line breeding. If an animal has a certain trait that you want to capture and keep in your lines then you line breed them to keep this trait. I have known many a people who have done this. But in breeding is just wrong no matter how you throw it. And again - I NEVER did either one with my dogs.

I found this while searching

Is shrink wrapping when the white membrane just under the shell shrinks? That was still in place. There was a clear membrane that was around him?
Trying to understand the specifics.

I'm still wondering about the breathing part. Why couldn't he breathe? Or if he could, why would he die just because he couldn't move?

Sorry for the 20 questions, i am a detail person :)
I believe it is the clear one that does it. I'm not absolutely sure about this but I do know that is what I have been told by many BYC'ers and have experienced myself.

Nite tee. I am off to the land of nod and odd dramas. Yes dramas. My dreams have been so odd lately... Like, I had cassawaries in my dream last night... They looked like giant turkeys thou and I was trying to get away from the snow... So weird.

So the junglefowl took frozen peas from my hand today. I consider this serious progress... or maybe its out of pity as they see me out at 4am rooting around in the yard looking for the mole who is making my yard look like a moonscape.... I think we are on like week 2 of poofheads next to the junglefowl.. they dont seem to even acknowledge each other. I hope this is a good sign, and not a preview to them not wanting anything to do with each other.

On a side note now that we have established Poof is a roo.... I wonder how 2 roos and 6 hens is going to work out... Read somewhere your suppose to have 10:1 but thats just not possible for us. Anyways... off to pass out... working long days 6 days a week.. hardly time to eat. Hope you ladies are fairing well with your birds.

P.S. Jungle fowl have yet to lay an egg... crossing my fingers!
