LOL, yeah, but I have only had an FB account for what.. 5 months now? LOL I can post a lot of silly crap there that would get me in to doodoo here.

Yeah, just remember that silly crap is there forever and for everyone to see! Might just jump up and bite ya in a few years

I know. That's why I post nothing that I worry about people seeing. I figure, If it's going to bite me possibly, then I wouldn't post. I seldom post pics of my kids. I don't post places I have gone, except the gym. AND If I were to get into trouble for something I posted, it'd be because of all them chicken lovin friends in my list! LOL I hear ya though.

I don't know.

How you been Gigi? More importantly, how is Georgie and your DH? Or you can put them the other way round, but still, curious about both. I figure SHE has to have done something worth remarking on...

Been a shortly busy day today. LOL.

I got the coops cleaned, almost time to take down the roosts and put them a bit lower. I am going to put a solid wood roof up over the winter run... OR force them to all use the actual coops this year so their body heat will keep the coop warmed up. I guess I need to see how many birds I actually have. I don't know right now... How pathetic is that... LOL Anyway, got the coops cleaned up, and when I moved a nest box, found a centipede nest! ICK! Damp spot right there too, so have to see how that is happening. Might have to get some fresh paint on after I dry it out.

Need to build a coop for the phoenix boys too. They are starting to pick at each other for one, and for two, they're getting frisky. I am going to utilize the skids that I have for as much as I can. I am hoping though to get a response on the heat with them. I am thinking they may need to have a heat source, not to hot, but just enough. I was reading that they are not as cold hardy and I do not want them in the garage. NOT HAPPENING unless it gets really cold... BUT if I have a 125 redlight in their coop, that should be good. Speaking of which, better order those....

looks like my jap bants are sick. Have two that have the stinky breath and are breathing heavy. Medicated them. Glad it is warm enough.. Or I'd have to heat lamp them. Sure did pith off my RSY thinking it was him breathing all messed up. LOL. Such a brat.

Going to be getting my wisdom teeth out next Friday if all goes well. AND they think that my migranes will be aleviated. Oh that'd be nice.

I also need a bigger washer. I had to take all the blankets and quilts to the laundry mat today. 23.75... Yup. Nice chunk of change...

Where is everyone?
Morning all , looks like a nice day to be breathing! I had been busy for about the last 3 weeks driving about 1 1/2 hours to go help take care of my MIL with Hospice. Drive back home make sure all is well here with the birds crawl into bed and do it all over again. Mom passed Friday. Oh, how passing on a holiday can mess with a funeral. We had the funeral yesterday and everyone sang 'Happy Birthday' to to her as it would have been her 91st birthday. Everyone thought it was fitting as it was also her re-birth.
Now to go meet with an attorney this morning as mom didn't leave a will. Ugh
Everyone have a great day!

I'm so sorry about your MIL, Rusty. 91 is pretty good. And, yes, I know all about leaving no wills. Same thing with my mother and that was 2 years ago and it's still not settled. Of course, I have a crazy brother who messes things up every time we get close.

Hey Nova, DH is doing good. Looks like he's got to start interferon for the Hep C virus so he's not looking forward to that. This is the third time he's been on it but maybe it will work this time. Good news is there is supposed to be a new treatment out at the first of the year that has a 90% clearance rate so that is great. Interferon really does him in so I'll be on my own with taking care of everyone. I'm working on a zip line to carry bags of feed and hay bales from the pickup into the barn. Think it might work but I had to order parts off amazon so haven't started it yet. I'll post pics if I get it working

Georgie has a sore leg. I found a little stone wedged up under her hoof and took it out but she's still limping. Of course a stone bruise could take some time to heal and the way she jumps up and down doesn't help it any. If she's still limping by Monday we will run her into the vet just to be sure it's not something else. Good thing about my 25 lb goaties is that we can just pick them up and hold them on our laps when we drive to the vet. Couldn't do that with a 90 lb goat - LOL.

Not fun about the wisdom teeth but that would be GREAT if taking them out got rid of the migraines. Certainly worth the pain. I'm sorry about your pullets. It sucks losing birds. I lost my last buff orp this week. I think she had a rubbery egg break inside her. I tried everything, Epsom salt baths, calcium drenches and antibiotics but finally lost her. I think by the time I realized what happened it was already too late. bummer.

Is it starting to cool off up there? We are in the mid 90's here but supposedly in a week will drop to low 90's and that could be the break for summer. When does it usually get cold up there?

Here's a photo of my GD and updated coop. I found cedar shingles cheap at Home Depot so tacked them on and painted trim. It came out pretty cute ('course that's mostly because of my cute GD standing in front of it - LOL).

And here's DH with most of the goaties trying to figure out if he has food. Georgie is sitting on his lap.

lol, thanks to your GD, the coop is even cuter. Fingers crossing the new meds will work. Interferon until then... Georgie! Lap goat, what a hoot.

Rusty... I was so lucky when my dad passed... He had nothing, so there was nothing to fight over except who got the bills. 91... Ripe age. Sorry for the loss though. My sympathies to your DH too.

As for the weather. Its like a woman right now... Hot, cold, hot, cold. Unable to make up its mind.
