Fuzzy's Farm

I have also pondered doing a boxed bed design along the fence, and topping it with chicken wire; that would allow them to eat only down to where the poor plants could survive, but not be killed; the idea came about when i planted cat grass in a box for the kitty and between them and the cat i ended up having to throw a grate over top of the box so they didn't kill the stuff. Then i though "what if i did this on a larger scale?" Hmm. Strawberries, cat grass, lemon grass, whatever is good for them .......... And if you do even so much as import scrub brush from the woods, a good layer of gravel around the base will keep it from getting ripped out and still allow for cover! When i fenced in my run i included a few misc. scrub "bushes" in the one corner and that is a favored hang-out now. :)

Robin, you crack me up!

Could we plan on get togethers over the summer months? Go to this one or that one for a day or weekend? Garden planting coop / run building (like the old fashioned barn raising's) or just hang out for a good time. We would have to rent a mini-bus to get to Gigi though and would maybe have to chip in to fly her here.

I've thought of that using Rye. Make a box about 6 by 3 of 2X4's and cover the top with 1/2 inch hardware cloth. Then throw in Rye see. It sprouts really quickly and would be a good green but I don't know if it's that good for chickens. You could use bird see and move the box around wherever you want.

that is probably what is gonna have to be, since we all want to hang out :) I gotta go though and get SOMETHING done. Probably just going to drink more tea and contemplate life.

(I even saw some genuine tea cups at my recent goodwill excursion, with roses on them...and thought about having girl's tea....... oh the silliness but wouldn't it be kinda fun?) I almost went back yesterday for them.... and then at another goodwill i saw another plain white with silver dish set, genuine porcelain, for very little......... feels like the fates are telling me something????)

Dad is discouraging, Mom is encouraging to go for what ever you want to be.

Fuzzy I have my own tool box also. I sure of a few other here do too. I get very pithed when I have tools are missing..
It seems to always be that way, doesn't it? My DD wants to go into theater management when she graduates next year and DH has been discouraging her since she mentioned it. I've been telling her to go for it, though, because she loves it and does well with it at her school productions.

My tools are always missing. Said DD takes them to use all the time and hardly ever puts them back. Anytime I'm looking for something she's all 'oh, it's in my room'.
