Fuzzy's Farm

:(

bacterial, then. Sounds contageous. You did say that there were visiting turkeys??? Been anywhere that has had ducks?

What have you given so far? This is getting serious, i wonder if it's the same as last year? So sorry :(

Not a clue. I didn't open up the pullet. Skatter on the other hand seems to be have just bounced back after a worming and a medicating. I am going to medicate her one more time. I also cleaned all the bedding out of the garage pen, scraped the floor good too. I am wondering if she ate something bad, and being youngun, was worse. Skatter is 2. Not sure. But the amberlink, Amber( I know, original) she is just fine. One of the chicks from Skeeter and Ekta, a pullet also, I am keeping an eye on her. She seems a bit hunched. So I know it is something with this garage group, and I am thinking of using sulmet in there water. Definetly seems to be digestion related.

OH! And I have one chick out! I am not sure what it is yet, but I do not think it is a polish. The egg that hatched is a mystery egg, because there was no writing on it. I just counted it as a pheonix. I haven't been able to get a pic of the little guy yet, he's only been out for about 2 hours and seems to like the corner away from the veiwing window...

I have a broody question. My bsl went broody about a week ago. We set her up in a crate with some eggs that we put under her about 5 days ago since she wasn't sitting on any initially. Yesterday I went out to check on her after work and she wasn't on the nest. Don't know how long she was off, but it seemed to me that it had been a while. Today, I just went out to check the eggs and saw she is sitting on the eggs again. Got quite lippy with me, too, when I got near. My question is, though, are the eggs under her still good? I mena, don't they quit if she's off them for so long? Should I wait a few more days and candle to see if they are developing before I just move her off and toss them?

Well, anyway, Hope everyone is having a great day. I had a crap night, but a nice surprise today with that loan chick hatching.

I replaced the thermostat on the jeep. Apparently though, Carl and I thought I put enough water back in the radiator. Not. I was four hours into my Sunday paper when my dummy light starts to flicker. AND I realised I had no heat coming in out of the vent. I shut the car off for a time, then went to 7/11 and waited there for the jeep to cool more. Called my friend Joe, and he told me I either put the thermostat in upside down, or I didn't put enough water in. So. I popped the hood, checked my water, and my over flow was full. Waited a bit, and then it all drained back into the engine and NOTHING was in the over flow. Was able to take the cap off of the radiator, no hissing or spitting, and turned on the car, filled the radiator and the overflow back up. Was just under a gallon low. Wahlah! I have heat again! Yes, I wanted heat, it was cold last night. Well, it feels cold with the windows down and no sun. So... there may still be something going on with the coolant system. I am thinking there may be a blockage somewhere, or the waterpump may be going... dunno... going to have to see if I can get it looked at by a professional. Dagnabit. Anyone wanna trade me? I know someone wants a mud jeep. This thing would be a great mud jeep... LOL

NO! LEAVE THEM! I have hens who will get off the nest for a hour and still hatch them. AND they do it daily. Also, one time when I was cleaning the poop I moved a hen and her eggs and when I was finished cleaning, I wasn't paying attention, and she moved herself back to her nest and left the eggs. It had been several hours! Those eggs also hatched. Its when she goes to roost you know you have a problem. If this her first time?

Cars are the bane of every delivery person. Darn things always pop up with a problem especially just after fixing the last.

Congrats on the little lone chickie.

Yes, it's her first time. I'm just not sure how long she was off them, but I figured it was too long. I'll leave them and candle in a few days, then. Thanks.
