Fuzzy's Farm

I can honestly say I don't get the chicken dynamics of hen to roo.  I know sister to brother is wrong for pairing.  But I swear I saw something about parent and offspring being okay for pairing.  How on earth could that possibly be?  Please correct me if this is totally wrong.

line breeding versus in breeding. I don't like it, but if its all you've got to work with, I see why people do it. Lucky for me I do not have too.

I found this while searching

Is shrink wrapping when the white membrane just under the shell shrinks? That was still in place. There was a clear membrane that was around him?
Trying to understand the specifics.

I'm still wondering about the breathing part. Why couldn't he breathe? Or if he could, why would he die just because he couldn't move?

Sorry for the 20 questions, i am a detail person :)

I found my good flashlight and candled. They've 10 gaysto go. So, I am watching them, and it was so cool to earthen wiggling. I put the fab corpses from Abalone chicks under Skatter. So, they'll be 3/4 fab, 1/4 whatever else, mostly Sussex.

I know, the touchpad..............fab corpses?

Is there really a difference there? But I'm with you. Don't have to and won't.

Fuzzy, I've never incubated before so I can't answer you're questions, but I'm glad you're asking them. It's interesting to know should I ever try to incubate my own which I've thought of doing once or twice.

I think that's why in nature, they sit so many to increase hatchlings... So many will go all the way then die. Like my littles silkie that was partway out, then just died. He was perfect from what I could see. And yet the one chick from Criptoe that I thought for sure would die, hasn't. He is thriving and getting red in his wings.
