The nn is in my avatar... both frizzles are in this pic!
Noodle is roosting high
Shawarma is roosting low
Patty is on the nesting box
Nugget is front and center with his wry neck...
Pate is hiding behind the milk crate
Peking is to the right... love his lil frizzled butt and baboon red face!!

yay! the frizzles look fabulous!

I am sooo tired. Couldnt sleep any longer though. Makes for a long day. My neck and shoulder hurt too much if I stay sleeping more than six hours, so I am up.

I hate my new pillow. My exmotherinlaw gave us four pillows- from Tony Little? Anyhow, they are like micro-bean bags. Seemed fabulous, but not really. Im back to using my feather pillow. I LOVE my feather pillow even though its all broken down and my husband says its flat. Its perfect,

I start work at seven today- only have one surgery, but I have a bunch of supervisor stuff to do. The not fun stuff- like cutting hours. I hate it, and staff doesnt seem to understand that that comes from corporate, not me. And corporate doesnt care that people NEED their hours.

We are adding a roost to the coop today. I have plenty of room in there for everyone, but seems that nobody wants to take the lower roost- so we are going to add a middle one. Hopefully, they will behave then. If not, I know I will pack em up and send them with my husband when he goes hunting and he can meet up with Robin. That almost seems like I would be rewarding the bad birds though- hahaha. It might just be because the two have been broody for so long, that now that they arent, they think they can run things- and the other chickens arent used to THEIR rules. I am going to be watching closely though.

Good luck on the pecking order issues; mom.

As far as buying more, you'd be surprised at the varieties people are working on! I'd lurk around on the EE bragger thread if i were you! Otherwise you are just going to end up wanting another and another, because you didn't know they came that way, lol. I like the rust and blue colored ones, especially the spangled. If you want a hugger i'd suggest one of the orloffs, they don't lay that many eggs but they are a natural winter layer and that's what my girl was apparently mixed with! They look just like an EE. :)

my worst mistake was over heating a bunch of new chickens .... and this was the second hardest ... i have actually thought about giving up butt hen i love my babies and could never give them to new homes very easily

It is called live and learn. If you give up because of a few bumps, hard thou they are, what does that teach your kids? Throw the towel in cuz it is to hard and to much work... Don't do that. Persevere.

I'm actually writing an essay for school about this....hopefully it'll make my teacher cry.....that's what I'm goin for, and I'm not a bad writer.......muhahahaha
