Fuzzy's Farm

aye work has been running me ragged... so we put the poofs in with the jungle fowl today Bob(rjf roo) kinda chases em but doesnt actually attack em. Right now the poofs are sitting on the bottom of the coop near the ramp. How much harrassment by the roo is too much?

Well that is natural ... for me if he doesn't hurt them really it will be ok ... but thats imo and might be wrong ... i am one of the newest ones to chickens in here

At least the sun is shining. Yay, solar power! Maybe I'll get something done today!

Yes there is. I forgot about that one. That one is closet to me than any other . Thanks Rusty.

I've got ice in a bucket on my front porch. The dog likes to drink out of it. I didn't even think the chicken water might be froze. I better go check.
Not ready to plug in heater base yet, hoping we warm up some

It's saying it's supposed to get to 60 today in coopersville

I'm giving it until 9:30 to call, i figure by then they've had a cup of coffee and settled into their desk, lol. I'm real tense though, trying not to be. Got my "tension tamer" tea.

I'm also trying to figure out what to do about my porcelain booted banty hen, she is sick. They've all had occasional sneezes but she was puffing a bit yesterday :( The porcelain d'uccle's sound ok, and of the millie roosters 2 are ok and 1 is bad but they persisted in roosting outside a few times in the cold rain, so............ But her i worry about. :(

Will the d'uccles be ok in the camper, or do they need heat? I love them but i don't want them to die because of me!
I would give them up if need be to make sure they were ok.

You guys tired? Mad? Just really cold? New thread? Bored?

Really neat ideas to keep things sanitary for the winter

I really like the posts that "resolution" makes. He seems very devoted to EE's, and giving birds as close an environment as possible to what nature would provide.
good luck with your interview today, Fuzzy. I know you'll do well because everything you do on this forum is very solid.

Thanks for this link, Fuzzy. I really like the way Resolution does his coop/cote and feeding table. I'm thinking of using some of those ideas. Thanks again. He hasn't posted in awhile - I hope he is okay.

Mom - Hang in there. I grew up in a house full of bipolar people. The key is they have to take responsibility. My grandmother was so great - she used tough love and told people that "they HAD to be responsible for their meds/behavior, etc. It was hard, no sugar coating there, but it worked. Now they are very successful individuals. If you think about it, many scientists, philosophers, artists and actors are bipolar. They have such a creative side that when they learn how to manage themselves, they really shine.
