no news can be bad news too ... back to square 2 .. hes still working on refresher course thru the unemployment office .. if he can get that the company will hire him ..as well as several others ...

!!! I still recommend that "knock em dead resume's" book for anyone out looking, it makes a world of difference!!! My stepmom thought she had the best out there because she just got out of college and they taught her the "current" winning resume techniques, but i can see without trying ways that she could "hook them" by changing what the resume is focused on! The book teaches you to get away from what you think they are looking for and gives you steps to take to find out what the hiring folks are ACTUALLY looking for info-wise. Biggest thing is ID'ing skills that transferr from job to job, instead of highlighting every special thing you did for the old jobs! This simple thing alone moves you into the present and makes you more appealing as an applicant :) It also has you organize the most appealing important things first to last always, instead of the old "building". That don't work! You gotta hook them from the first sentence and keep building on that, instead! Just like an interesting story. Keep them reading!!!

I am very confused. Night and day difference in everyone today!? I did well today :) I did a lot of the regular work, and i think i have 3 more days training! Yay! So by the time i'm on my own it (should) be easy.

You guys were right about why they acted the way they did yesterday, i think. .............all i can do is hope for the best. . I keep trying to remind myself that this is a career job, it isn't gonna happen overnight................i guess i just got used to plain ol' factory jobs where you get it or you don't, hours and benefits were automatic there.

I was thinking about getting another part time job in the meantime, just in case. Perhaps one of those holiday jobs??The muskegon mall isn't far.........lol. mall girl. Someday i'll actually be able to buy something in one of those places! I'll still be a tightwad probably. lol.

E gads, I already have big dreams for affording a nice coop re-do! Hopefully i will be able to make it all nice and pretty! Or Build a little shed coop ! (Hey, a girl can dream!) I like my camper coop a lot but sometimes i get coop envy when looking at all the pretty pics on here..................Some people have family photos to motivate, i need a little pic with all my chicken family in it to put in the back of my nametag :)
 
HI!

Finally got the tire off. Took for ever, resorted to a drill... SO, now I am going to need a new stud after pay day, but in the mean time, I have a new tire, and 4 lugs to hold it on. Oh, joy of joys. LOL. I have a cut in my hand, 2 broken sockets, 3 broken socket wrenches that are 1/2 bit, so, poopoo on that.

Now, I am tired. I got so ticked off that at one point, I dropped everything, ended up getting on the lawn mower and driving at the highest speed all over the yard. All the leaves are now in a big pile in the center. And now it is raining. But, as for the nut... Every darn socket I put on it, then hammered on, just made the nut get smaller and smaller. Yup. Got several sizes in the reverse sockets, and ended up snaping it off, the nut, in half! So, the countersunk part was still on. Still couldn't get it off, got out the drill, after several bits, a bunch of drilling, was finally able to get another socket countered on it, and was finally able to get it off. That peice of the nut is still stuck in the reverse socket. HAHAHA! Well, now I have more tools, and I have broken tools. Oh, and the wrenches I was using, they are going back to sears. Lifetime warrantee baby! LOL
 
Nothing like a mad ticked off woman doing dounuts on a mower. Or was that ticked off MAD woman. Either way I can picture her with the look of her avatar hunched over the steering wheel, with that better not get in my way look. Nova on the loose hello bent, look out............

Coop news- birds sound better. Tiny Sharma still sounds faintly raspy and does a squeak-cough if she overexerts, but her color is good and she's been in high energy and spirits again! Eating and pooping away. lol. (This was the porcelain booted hen that was acting off) (Not the d'uccles)
My auction hen is regaining her feathers finally! I was worried she'd be bald through the winter, thankfully she is getting pins all over and has stopped laying.
I took her saddle off so it didn't aggrevate the pins! I am curious to know what her back feathers are supposed to look like, and if she will have a beard or be clean-faced? Poor girl. I bet she is a spitfire when she gets pretty! lol. I keep telling her she's beautiful but from the look i get when i say it she clearly does not believe it! ha ha ha. I can't believe how many people will allow their birds to get balded? I saddle them during the winter and during the early spring breeding season so they don't get damaged when they are in the pens.

:D I took out the camera and did pic updates yesterday!

See, my birds like to hug! Usually they mill around on my end of the brooder waiting for the hand to descend, then it's a push fight to see who gets to be picked up first............... "hope"?? (I am considering this name for her, since she was my hen's last present to me) is somehow the biggest, and she usually wins! The rooster i got from the spring hatch is HUGE! He is outgrowing Henry by leaps and bounds! I am still watching close............ The huge size of their chicks supports the possible orloff connection, since the standard orloffs were supposed to be quite large........Still surprising since cocoa herself was quite small!

Now that roo and the other hen in the top right of cookie's pic, that's another story. I got a whole goodie grab bag! But notice who's keeping an eye on me?
